Warranty Policy

K1 Tech Care Ltd

This policy explains the warranty coverage that applies to parts replaced or products supplied by K1 Tech Care Ltd. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Repair Policy, and Returns & Refunds Policy.

1. Scope of this policy

This warranty policy applies to warranty claims made for repairs, replacement parts, batteries, power banks, used items, and any optional repair protection service supplied by K1 Tech Care Ltd.

2. Standard repair warranty

We provide a 2-year warranty on the specific parts we replace during a repair.

The warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable.

The warranty covers faulty or defective parts and malfunctions directly related to the replaced part(s).

The warranty does not cover labour, diagnostic work, or faults unrelated to the replaced part(s).

3. What is not covered

Accidental damage, drops, impact damage, pressure damage, cracks, dents, or scratches.

Liquid damage, moisture ingress, corrosion, or any issue caused by exposure to water or other liquids.

Misuse, neglect, overheating, overcharging, or use of incompatible, non-approved, or faulty chargers or accessories.

Software faults, account issues, operating system problems, or any issue not directly caused by the replaced part.

Damage or failure caused by tampering, modification, opening, or repair attempts by any third party after our service.

Devices that were previously repaired, modified, or opened by another repair shop or individual where that prior work affects reliability.

Any fault that was present before the repair but was not disclosed to us before work began.

4. Apple genuine parts and aftermarket parts

Where a genuine Apple part is supplied and fitted by us, the warranty period and coverage may differ from our standard warranty and will be explained before the repair is carried out. For Apple-branded parts installed by us, the warranty period is 60 days from the date of installation, subject to the conditions in this policy.

Aftermarket parts may cause Apple system warning messages in Settings, including battery or display warnings.

Those warnings are normal for aftermarket parts and do not, by themselves, mean the device is faulty.

If you want genuine Apple parts to avoid these warnings where possible, you must tell us before the repair is completed.

5. Battery and power bank warranty

Batteries and power banks supplied or installed by K1 Tech Care Ltd are covered by a 12-month limited warranty.

During the warranty period, the item is expected to maintain at least 80% health or capacity under normal use.

Reduced battery life caused by normal wear and charging cycles is not, by itself, a fault unless the 80% threshold is not met within the warranty period due to a manufacturing defect.

6. Used items

Used items are sold with a 30-day warranty unless otherwise stated.

Used items are tested and cleaned before sale, but they are still sold as used goods and may show signs of prior use.

Liquid damage, customer damage, tampering, and damage caused by misuse are not covered.

7. Repair Protection Plan

The Repair Protection Plan is an optional add-on that may be offered at the time of repair.

It covers one repeat repair for the same device and the same fault originally repaired by us, subject to the plan conditions.

The plan does not cover new faults, unrelated faults, liquid damage unless expressly agreed in writing, severe physical damage, theft, loss, or third-party tampering.

The plan is non-refundable, non-transferable, and does not replace the standard warranty.

8. How to make a warranty claim

Contact us as soon as you notice a problem and explain the fault in as much detail as possible.

Bring or send the device back with your original receipt, invoice, or proof of purchase.

We will inspect the device to confirm whether the fault is covered by warranty.

If the fault is covered, we will repair or replace the relevant part at no additional charge.

If the fault is not covered, we will provide a quotation for any repair work required.

9. Customer responsibilities

Back up all personal data before handing over or sending in any device.

Tell us about any prior repairs, liquid damage, missing parts, intermittent faults, or known limitations before work begins.

Use the device and accessories in a normal and appropriate way after the repair has been completed.

Keep proof of purchase in a safe place, as it may be needed for a warranty claim.

10. Important legal note

This warranty policy is in addition to your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law. Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or limit any rights you may have that cannot legally be excluded.
